Charles Buxton "Buck" Mitchell is a Pensacola native who is passionate about the Pensacola community. Buck is the co-owner of Seville Quarter and The District: Seville Steak & Seafood in historic Downtown Pensacola. Buck is an active community leader dedicated to many charitable, cultural, and civic causes. He is a strong conservative who is running for office with a focus on promoting economic growth, maintaining fiscal responsibility; an emphasis on public safety; a goal of highlighting Pensacola Hospitality and increasing tourism on our beautiful beaches; and a strong advocate for our military. Buck is a fact-driven, common-sense problem-solver committed to guiding Escambia County Government toward making the best decisions to preserve and enhance the quality of life in the area.
Over the past 30 years, Buck has been involved with and held leadership positions in many community and charity organizations, including: six-term Board Member and the 2012 President of Pensacola Council of the Navy League; past President of Fiesta Pensacola’s Executive Board of Governors; past President and current Executive Board Member of The Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival; The ARC Gateway; Capstone Learning Academy (formally United Cerebral Palsy); Big Brothers Big Sisters; and Tournament Chairman of the Miller Classic.
In 2010, Buck received the Freedoms Foundation Liberty Bell Award for support, generosity, and unwavering dedication to serving our community.
Buck and his wife Jennifer have two children, Turner, and Callie.
