Thank you for your interest in my campaign. I am excited and humbled at the opportunity to serve as Clay County’s next elected property appraiser!

As a licensed, certified and designated appraiser, one principle that I understand to be constant is change. Over the past several decades, Florida’s property tax system has become increasingly complex and confusing to taxpayers. Property appraisers have been charged with the responsibility of implementing and administering legislative changes while producing ad valorem assessment rolls in accordance with Florida law in turbulent and unpredictable real estate markets. During my twenty-six year tenure, Clay County’s assessment rolls have been approved by the Florida Department of Revenue without any issues. As Property Appraiser, I will utilize my extensive experience, education and highly-trained staff to continue to be one of the most professional and respected offices in the state.  

As a fiscal conservative I will ensure the taxpayers’ dollars are used wisely, with full accountability and transparency. I will administer the responsibilities of the office in a bipartisan manner while producing fair and equitable assessments, and providing excellent service to all Clay County citizens. Although the office requires a degree of independence, I look forward to working with the municipalities, county and state agencies to ensure a smooth transition and continued success. Experience matters and I am ready to lead one of the county’s most important agencies on day one.
