Maria Marino

Maria Marino was elected to the Palm Beach Gardens City Council in 2016, where she served as the City’s Mayor in 2017 and 2018, and is the current the Vice Mayor. During Maria’s tenure on City Council, the City has experienced lower tax rates, 2,400 acres have been dedicated to conservation helping to restore the water flow of over 100,000 acres at no expense to the tax payer, and partnered with Palm Beach County to open a new 80-acre district park.  

Maria represents the City on over 10 boards and councils, ranging from transportation to the environment.  This includes the Palm Beach County League of Cities, Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, and serving as the Chair of the Palm Beach County Transportation Planning Agency. Maria is a 2019 Women of Excellence Award Honoree awarded by the National Foundation of Women Legislators, the 2017 “Woman of the Year” by the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Chamber’s Smart and Connected Regions Task Force, and sits on several subcommittees and is a Past Trustee Member.

As a 40-year small business owner, Maria Marino understands the importance of low taxes, small government, safeguarding our quality of life, and partnering with community non-profits. Maria, is the Broker/Owner of Marino Realty Group and serves as the Executive Director of the Jupiter Children’s Foundation, a small foundation for the underserved children of Jupiter. With a strong belief in community and philanthropy, she lends her talents to many initiatives targeted at enriching the lives of at-risk youth; such as the Edna W. Runner Tutorial Center where Maria is a current Board Member and Past President and “Suits for Seniors” where she is a mentor for high school senior boys and girls.

A native of Connecticut and a graduate of the University of Connecticut, Maria came to Florida after winning the State Women’s Amateur Golf Championship in 1985 to improve her golf skills.  She fell in love with northern Palm Beach County and put down roots.  Maria resides in Palm Beach Gardens with her family.
