Candidate's Statement

I have an extensive legal background and thorough understanding of all work environments -- private enterprise (Wise/Old London Foods), not-for-profit institutions (Columbia University, and the New York Botanical Garden), and government service (New York Department of Labor, and the Wayne County Department of Social Services). In addition, I have substantial experience in all major areas of administration, such as human resources, marketing, public relations, development, and community relations. As a labor attorney and a former Human Resources Director, I have a lifetime of experience finding viable solutions to difficult human resources problems.

Educational background includes a BA in Spanish Literature from Wayne State University, an MBA in Marketing from Manhattan University, and a JD from Brooklyn Law School. Community involvement includes being elected for five consecutive terms as President of the Hispanic Business & Professional Association of Bergen County, and being appointed a Member of the Board of Trustees of Ramapo College of New Jersey.
