Candidate: James "Jim" T. Trautz, Jr.

Service is in my blood. I have been an active member of the community wherever I have lived, working to ensure that every voice is heard and our freedoms are preserved. As a newer resident of Osceola County, I bring a fresh perspective and vision to our community.  

Like you, I share a love of this country, and I am committed to ensuring that every legal vote is counted, and every citizen's voice is heard through our election process.​

Whether on the battlefield, where I proudly served for more than 20 years as an Officer in the United States Navy, or in the community as a driving force for candidates or as a board member, I have a proven track record of taking on the toughest challenges and bringing honesty and integrity at all times.

Advancing through the ranks of the United States Navy, I retired after more than 20 years of service. Following that, my career has taken me through many journeys, including as an ordained minister, where I was privileged to serve a congregation in both Southern and Northern Virginia. I also led the foreign military sales contract for a major defense contractor, which brings me unique understanding of the government financial planning and execution process.

Through it all, I have been involved in working on campaigns, serving on various boards in the community in which I lived, and I have held a variety of paid and unpaid positions.

Since coming to Florida in 2021, I have served as a poll watcher and have volunteered on numerous community activities. My experience has given me a deep understanding of the election process and the importance of fair and transparent elections.

As Supervisor of Elections, my mission will be to ensure that every citizen's vote is counted and that our elections are fair, transparent, and accessible to all. I believe that the cornerstone of our republic is the right to vote, and I will work tirelessly to protect that right for every citizen of Osceola County. I am dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency in our elections, and I will work to ensure that every citizen can participate in our democracy, regardless of their background or circumstances.
