Candidate: Albert B. Moore

Albert Moore has demonstrated his commitment to the legal profession with more than twenty years as a practicing attorney. He is an experienced litigator whose practice has spanned over a variety of legal issues including criminal, civil, family and business law. He is respected by his clients and the legal community in St. Lucie County where he has practiced law since 1990. He has formerly instructed students in legal studies at Indian River State College in a part-time capacity. The combination of his experience and character led to his appointment as a Traffic Hearing Officer in both St. Lucie and Martin counties where he heard and ruled upon thousands of cases. His character and job performance as a Traffic Hearing Officer led to his additional appointment as General Master (Magistrate) for St. Lucie County. As a General Master, Mr. Moore heard cases, under the supervision of a Circuit Judge, on Mental Health cases, Family Law Cases and Dependency Cases. This experience makes him uniquely qualified for the position of County Judge. Although Albert Moore’s experience and character are exemplary, he understands that it takes a great deal more to be our next County Judge, it takes a commitment to our community. Albert has lived in St. Lucie County for more than twenty years. He is raising two sons in St. Lucie County and wants to make sure that all residents of St. Lucie County are represented with honesty and commitment. He has been serving the people of our community by having served on the Port St. Lucie Economic Growth Team and the St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning Board. Albert has committed himself to serving the less privileged by co-founding a non-profit housing assistance program in St. Lucie County.
