I Can Help - I have been listening to your needs and your hopes for our community. I am uniquely qualified to represent District Two as County Commissioner because… * I have a long history of community service * I am dedicated to serving the community. * I want to improve your quality of life. * My human services background makes me an exceptional resource to help you access and receive community services. * I understand the need to improve housing values and manage growth, while maintaining a solid infrastructure. * I intend to be a good steward of your tax dollars and promote fiscal responsibility. * We need to get full use of our hard-earned tax dollars. Economic Stimulus - We need economic stimulus to help bring good jobs to our community. * I know what it’s like to struggle. I also know how to listen and I will support your needs. Personal, Professional Military Experience * Originally from Okeechobee. * Raised in foster care. * Husband, father, grand and great-grandfather. * Retired from a career in the U.S. Navy, after serving on seven nuclear submarines. * Two tours of duty as a Company Commander, training eleven recruit companies. * Served as Chief of the Boat, Senior Enlisted Advisor for 130 crew members on USS Pittsburgh SSN 720 * Director of St. Lucie County Veteran Services, serving 37,000 St. Lucie County veterans * St. Lucie County Special Needs Shelter Registration Team Coordinator during Hurricanes Floyd, Frances, Jeanne & Wilma Civic Awards & Honors: * Inducted into the Four Chaplains Legion of Honor for humanitarian service. * First recipient of Col. Daniel W.
