I am proud of our community and schools and want to help them get even better. Plato once stated, \"The direction in which education starts a man will determine his future life.\" Our students deserve the best that Flagler Schools can offer them. A FOCUS ON FLAGLER COUNTY SCHOOLS - commitment to standards of excellence for our schools - advancements to provide the highest caliber educational opportunities for all students - encouragement of problem solving to promote a first-rate school district -school environments that are safe and orderly to enable all students to succeed -establishment of a financial framework to help our students have the best education and resources -continuous communication among parents, teachers, staff, students, and our community -understanding financial accountability in reaching the goals of our district in the twenty-first century CANDIDATE\'S BIOGRAPHY As a resident of Flagler County since 1989, I have seen much growth and many improvements in the county and the school system. We were a small county with a few schools, and here we are with many schools serving a growing school population. I have had the rich opportunity of a variety of careers which provides a necessary understanding of decisiveness and objectivity to work well with others. My experiences and work ethics enable me to find answers while being fair and respecting all. I strongly believe that a school board member should be a clear and independent thinker, a good listener, a valid questioner who will always do right for the students, teachers, and staff. Post RECOGNITION: Selected as one of two teachers from Florida for the Marco Polo Four Journey. This experience was conducted by the United States Navy in conjunction with National Geographic. Awarded a cultural experience by the Turkish Ambassador to the United States of America. This included representing the United States during a two week cultural visit to Turkey.
