Her first priority is bringing pride back to Pasco by restoring its economy. A strong economy means jobs, personal independence, and an overall better community. Karen King is the best qualified candidate to revitalize Pasco\'s economy because of both her experience in the private sector and her knowledge of Pasco\'s small businesses and overall economy. Karen King believes that small businesses are the engines for growth in Pasco\'s economy and plans to work extensively with them to foster economic growth. Karen King will get the job done and is committed to our Pasco County Residents. Karen\'s community involvement includes over 20 years of service to Pasco County through volunteerism: Pasco County Tourism Council Vice Chairperson West Pasco Chamber of Commerce VFW Ladies Auxiliary Italian-American War Veterans of the United States Ladies Auxiliary Rotary Club of New Port Richey Pasco Aging Network American Cancer Society Making Strides Agains Breast Cancer and Relay For Life Community Service Council Somebody Cares Pasco Leadership Pasco Chairperson West Pasco Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee Karen has been involved with Business Development Week, West Pasco Chamber Education Committee, Disaster Preparedness, Post Disaster Redevelopment, Redevelopment of the US 19 Corridor. Karen is a proven leader and was Queen Chasco in 2005 for her volunteer commitment to the community and has received the West Pasco Chamber award for \"Outstanding Citizen.\" Karen truly believes in \"Service Above Self.\" Karen\'s plan is to listen to citizen\'s concerns and identify community needs, research issues and find solutions to move Pasco forward. Karen will work to improve the Quality of Life in Pasco County by promoting safe and secure communities, keeping taxes low, expanding tourism, supporting an efficient, effective process to incourage job growth and business development, sustaining youth activities, elderly nutritions programs, library and park services.
