My name is Doug Clayton and I am honored to be a part of this amazing American institution. Hamilton County is home. My grandchildren make 9 generations who call this area home and our roots go deep.. I am humbled and consider myself among the chosen to be an educator at HCHS. I am vying for this position because we need positive, comprehensive and clear-eyed leadership in a time of unprecedented uncertainty. Our district needs a leader who can address not only academic issues, but also athletic, financial,personnel, transportation, discipline/behavior issues, community and student engagement issues, infrastructure and vocational/job readiness programs.

I am the only candidate with extensive experience in all of these critical areas. My experience is both in private industry and in the education field. The final qualification I bring to the table is that I will work longer, harder and use innovative out-of-the-box strategies to address the post COVID educational landscape.
