Proactive leadership and demonstrated school improvement with a team-building and solution-oriented work ethic.

Through my experience as an educator, I have worked with students, school personnel, and communities for school improvement and student achievement.  In 2011-2012, as principal of North Hamilton Elementary school, as a team, our students improved the school grade from a “C” to an “A” with 100% of Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) targets met.  Due to this accomplishment at North Hamilton Elementary, I was asked to transfer to Central Hamilton Elementary school to provide leadership to turn around the repeating “F” school.  Again, with the support of school personnel and community, our students worked hard to move our school from the “F” status to a “C”.  With the success of our students’ performance, Central Hamilton Elementary was recognized by Florida’s Department of Education as the #1 school in the state for school improvement in the combination school category.  In 2018-2019, as principal of Echols County Elementary and Middle School, my team worked on student achievement with a vision of 100% of students making growth.  Focused on that vision, students worked hard, moving the school from a “C” to a “B” earning 95.0 out of 100 points for progress in academic growth.
