Candidate's Statement

COMMITTED TO SERVING OUR COMMUNITY

A COURTROOM SMART ATTORNEY WITH OVER 16 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND DEEP ROOTS IN CLAY COUNTY

Geraldine is the daughter of a Naval Chief and a proud graduate of Clay High School.  She began litigating while attending Florida Coastal School of Law as a Certified Legal Intern with the Department of Children and Families.  She continues to work in serval disciplines within the legal system, including arguing before the First District Court of Appeals.  She has practiced her entire career, over 16 years, in Clay County and is honored to call Clay County her home.

THE RIGHT EXPERIENCE FOR CLAY COUNTY JUDGE

As the principal attorney of Hamilton & Hartin, P.A., Geraldine has a depth of experiance in litigation and transactional law.  She serves as the Clay County Special Magistrate, where she presides over cases concerning violations of the Clay County Code.  She is committed to upholding the law of the county to ensure that the community is safe and rights are protected.

DEDICATED TO SERVICE

Geraldine is a member of several organizations which benefit the community.  She serves as General Counsel for the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, Judge for Teen Court, volunteer for the Clay County Clerk of Court's Low Bono Program, board member for St. John's Classical Academy, member of the Orange Park Rotary Club, and Clay County Bar Association, where she served as president.  She is an award winning attorney, recieving the Honorable Lamar Winegart, Jr. Award for her pro bono work in the community.  Geraldine regularly collaborates with Jacksonville Area Legal Aid  to provide free legal clinics for pro se litigants.  

Geraldine's husband, Jeremy, and three daughters, Destiny, Helena, and Kathryn, volunteer in the community as well.  Her husband is the commitee chair for Scouts BSA, Pack 414 and Troop 414, which is the pack and troop her daugthers belong to.  Helena is a member of the Order of the Arrow.

Geraldine feels Clay County is the ideal place to live, work, and raise a family.  She does not take this for granted.  She and her family volunteer in the community to ensure that Clay County remains the best place to live.
