Leslie Dougher

Experienced Leadership for County Commissioner

We Don’t Need Another “Talker” on the County Commission.
We Need a “Do-er!”
We Need Leslie Dougher!

Proud Wife, Mother, and Community Leader.
Leslie is a successful Realtor® and businessowner who has been a proud resident of Clay County for over 25 years. Her husband Dan is a Lieutenant with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. They’ve both spent their careers giving back to our community.

Experience That Counts.
Leslie has served in a variety of leadership positions, including, the Board of Trustees for St. Johns River State College, former Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, Board of Directors of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, the Haven Hospice Community Advisory Board, and on the Clay County Planning and Zoning Commission.

A Conservative Champion.
Leslie is a devoted conservative who has worked side-by-side with leaders like Senator Rick Scott, who appointed Leslie to serve on Florida’s Small Business Development Center.

Preserving Our Quality of Life
Added growth brings challenges that should be managed from the perspective of a taxpayer and a property owner. Leslie will use her experience on the Planning and Zoning Board to make sure development is smart, managed, and pays for itself.

Fighting for Low Taxes and a Balanced Budget
Leslie will bring her conservative principles to the County Commission. Our property taxes should remain low, we should cut red tape for job creators, and she will always vote for a balanced budget.

Government That Works for Us
Proper planning at a County level will help alleviate traffic, keep our waterways healthy, and preserve our parks and open spaces.

Protecting Our Environment
Leslie lives on a small family farm and understands firsthand the importance of preserving our quality of life in District 5 and beyond. As we move into the next decade, she will work to protect our agriculture, environment, and waterways.

Keeping Our Streets Safe
Public safety will be Leslie’s top priority as our Commissioner. As the wife of a 27-year Clay County Sheriff’s Officer, she knows the importance of supporting the men and women of law enforcement and will work with our police to keep Clay County a safe County.
