Candidate: Kellie Hendricks Connell

Kellie Hendricks Connell, CPA, is currently serving her 8th year as the Union County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller.  She holds a strong belief that the Clerk was established under the Florida Constitution as a means of checks and balances to the Board of County Commissioners.  Management and Operating decisions should be made by the Board, and supported by the Clerk.  

In managing the Clerk’s office, she holds three priorities: efficiency, transparency and accountability.  She utilizes her accounting experience to personally design processes and procedures that are efficient, and ensure the County’s dollars are spent wisely and in accordance with the budget set by the Board.  She works to make sure that Board meetings and records are readily available to the public so that the people of Union County know what decisions are being made.  She also ensures that any mandates made by the Florida Supreme Court are efficiently put into place in Union County.

Kellie is proud to be a life-long resident of Union County, and is the mom of three very busy boys: Tanner (14), Judd (11) and Tripp (9).  She is the daughter of Joe & Debbie Hendricks, and the granddaughter of Bryan & Jeanette Hendricks, and Myrtice and the late James Lee.
