Candidate: Therisa Meadows

Hello Holmes County Voter,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  I am Therisa Meadows, a lifelong Holmes Countain.  I am the youngest of six daughters born to my parents Raymond and Idoma Tew, a farm family in the Bethlehem Community.  My husband Terry and I have been married 41 years and reside on our family farm in the Bethlehem Community.  Terry and I have a daughter Eleatha, who is a pharmacist and a son Wayde who along with his wife Lily and their daughter Joni live on the family farm where Wayde farms alongside his dad.

I am a graduate of Bethlehem High School and Chipola College.  In 1981 I began my career with Holmes County Government when I was hired as a bookkeeper/deputy clerk by Cody Taylor, Holmes County Clerk of Court.  I worked for the Clerk of Court for several years, before choosing to be a stay at home mom to raise our children and work with Terry on the farm.

In 2000 I decided it was time to return to work and was hired by Debbie Wilcox Morris, Holmes County Supervisor of Elections as deputy supervisor of elections and was later promoted to assistant supervisor of elections.  After 19 years in the election’s office, I was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis as Holmes County Supervisor of Elections after the retirement of the former Supervisor of Elections.  I have enjoyed serving you, the voters of Holmes County, during my 19 years as deputy/assistant supervisor of elections and 1 year of service in the capacity as your Holmes County Supervisor of Elections.  I assure you that I, along with my staff, will strive to conduct fair and honest elections for all, in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.  My door will always be open to you to discuss any issues or concerns you may have.  I always have and always will consider it an honor and privilege to serve you, the voters of Holmes County.
