Judge Scott Cupp is running to retain his current office of Hendry County Judge. Governor Rick Scott appointed Judge Scott H. Cupp to be Hendry County Judge in December 2014. To ensure that our legal system functions properly, it is mandatory that we select judges with a solid intellectual understanding of the law, experience as a practicing attorney, and a strong work ethic. In 1986 he received his Juris Doctorate degree from Western New England University School of Law located in Springfield Massachusetts. Judge Cupp began his legal career as a prosecutor and for 17 years was an assistant state attorney in Florida\'s Twentieth (Lee County), Fifteenth (Palm Beach County) and Third (Suwannee County) circuits. Throughout the 1990\'s he was a nationally recognized speaker and instructor in the area of prosecuting child abuse and child homicides with the National Center for the Prosecution of Child Abuse located in Alexandria, Virginia. From 2003 through 2006 he served as Chief of Felony in Lee County and then office head for the Hendry/Glades State Attorney\'s Office located in LaBelle.
