Candidate: Verna Brock

Dear Voters, Thank you for taking the time to be well informed, and reading your candidates\' biographies. You may know me as your neighbor, library director, fellow church member, Planning & Zoning representative or from volunteering with me in our schools. My husband Ed, and I, chose to live here because of the sense of community we found, and because Wakulla has always put the interests of our children first. Our community is proud of our school system. As a librarian, I understand how important education is to success. As your school board member, I will work to make sure Wakulla County\'s schools continue to be the best in Florida. I pledge to help develop policies that will prepare our children and grandchildren for the future. As a librarian working in local government, I have years of experience creating and meeting budgets. I know how to count every dollar, and make every dollar count! In all my years of work, I have never gotten less than an outstanding audit. I pledge to be your voice on the school board, easily accessible and accountable to the citizens of Wakulla County. I can make the difficult decisions for our community that ensure our students continue to excel. No one has ever questioned my integrity or commitment to Wakulla. My love of Wakulla and its people, combined with my life-long commitment to service and education, make me the best candidate for this office.
