Farmer Announces Candidacy for Commissioner District 5
Klynt A. Farmer was born, raised and educated in Callahan. As an Honors graduate of West Nassau High School, Class of 1995 and Florida Gold Seal Academic Scholarship winner, Klynt is rooted in the community he wishes to serve. He has 30 years of private sector business experience in the liquid waste industry serving Nassau County as a Septic Tank Contractor. Klynt worked alongside his father who started the company, K.A. Farmer’s Septic Tank Service in 1984. Through his years of service to our community, Klynt has employed and trained dozens of employees, implemented safety programs, operated and managed large budgets and has developed effective networks that provide our neighborhoods with honest, reliable customer service at affordable prices throughout all construction trades.
Outside of business, Klynt honorably served the City of Jacksonville as a Reserve Police Officer from 2006-2017 assisting patrol, K-9 and narcotics during his tenure and received many awards through the thousands of hours he gave in service to the community.
Klynt Farmer is a staunch conservative, self-motivated, accessible, accountable, transparent public servant who takes pride in serving his neighbors. “My integrity isn’t for sale” expressed Klynt in his own words that tells the story of who he is as a businessman and a decision maker. “I believe growth is inevitable and can be beneficial, however we must intrinsically channel our money in government to ensure we grow (infrastructure, public safety, roads and bridges, etc.) alongside these new developments in our region to ensure the citizens get what they need to guarantee a safe, secure neighborhood worthy of praise,” said Klynt.
Klynt has participated with many civic and social events throughout his years as a Shriner affiliated with both the Morocco Shrine Temple in Jacksonville as well as the Alee Shrine Temple in Savannah, proudly supporting the Shriners Hospitals for Children. He is a member of Callahan Lions Club, Westside Optimist Club, Florida Farm Bureau and Nassau Moose Lodge #2352. He is a past master of Callahan Masonic Lodge #32 and is a member of Callahan First Baptist Church. He is an active member of the Florida Onsite Wastewater Association participating with the Political Action Committee by assisting with the literature of several bills and lawmaking associated with his trade.
Farmer believes we should also promote small local business, low taxes and smaller government for the benefit of the next generation who wish to raise their family in their hometown or for those wishing to contribute to clean healthy living.
I would appreciate your consideration on August 20th and humbly ask for you and your family’s vote, Klynt A. Farmer for County Commissioner District 5.
