Candidate: Jimmy Dubberly

James C. Dubberly, Jr., (Jimmy) is a Fernandina Beach native and a graduate of Fernandina Beach High School. After graduation Jimmy joined the military and served 21 years in the US Coast Guard. Being in the Coast Guard afforded him the

opportunity to serve under the Captain of the Port and work with many Ports all cross the United States. During his military career, Jimmy continued his studies and earned his Undergraduate Degree in Business Management and Master’s Degree in

Business Administration and Human Resources.

After retiring from the US Coast Guard Jimmy went to work for Raytheon and IBM where he was a Business Development consultant for several US Ports. Today Jimmy is the CEO / Owner of Compass Global Business Services, LLC. which is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Headquartered in Fernandina Beach, Florida. His company does work with the US Government and Department of Defense.

– Actively seek citizen involvement

– Provide for planned growth

– Provide for sustainable economic development

– To improve fiscal accountability, discipline, and responsible management of

public assets

– Provide services efficiently and courteously

– Bring back the Public Trust in OPHA

–Protect and maintain our unique heritage, character, and culture

– To align the Port’s Vision with each Municipalities’ Vision within the County

– To improve the waterfront environment today and leave a legacy for tomorrow

– Relentlessly pursue new technology and new ideas to improve business

– Have OPHA be responsible stewards of all resources entrusted to their care
