Candidate: Melissa Ptomey

I’m Melissa Ptomey.  I am running for Monroe County Commissioner in the August 20 Primary.  

I am a mom of two boys, and married to a first responder conch whose family has served the Keys for 40 years.

I am running because I am uniquely qualified to rescue the Keys from ruination:

·      I am an environmental scientist and consultant – so I fully understand the land use and enviromental  issues here in the Keys.  

·      I have over 3,000 research dives into the reefs – so I fully understand that the destruction of our reefs is well underway.  

·       I own two small businesses – so I fully understand how to budget with limited resources, something the county knows nothing about.  

As County Commissioner, I will fight to protect the Keys' natural beauty and preserve our unique way of life.
