Candidate: Steven A. Gordon

I'm Steven Gordon. I was born May 20,1967 in NY. I moved to Florida in 1985. I was a Broward County Detention Deputy from 1986-87. I left to become a Private Investigator and Recovery Agent. I specialized in locating people and asset recovery.

I moved to Charlotte County Fl in 1990 until moving to Alachua County in 2019.

I come from a family of law enforcement and military backgrounds. I've spent my entire life around law enforcement and the military.I've been involved with veteran's organiztions for over 25 years and have held numerous offices within the organization including Detachment Commander for the State of Fl.

I'm running for Sheriff, not for myself but for the good men and women of the Sheriff's Dept., as well as the citizens of Alachua County. It's time for a change. We need to increase the morale within the Sheriff's Dept. We need to establish a working relationship with the citizens and with other local law enforcement.The crime rate is increasing, but if we all work together we can make a difference.

I feel some of the current policies are outdated and could use a change. I believe in Community Policing and that will absolutely help to not only lower the crime rate, but it will also create a better working environment with the good citizens of Alachua County and the men and women of the Sheriff's Dept.Please remember "All Lives Matter".

It's time to put a common sense approach to Law Enforcement.
