Candidate's Statement

Michelle Coldiron, a resident for 23 years, brings her experience in local business ownership, community involvement and working relationships to her candidacy for re-election to the BOCC. In her fourth year as an elected official on the BOCC and last year’s Mayor, she helped navigate the county through COVID.   With her well-rounded professional background and experience as an elected official, she continues to bring the tools and energy that are needed to serve Monroe. She is determined that we remain the best place to raise a family, run a business, retire, or visit.

Michelle will address the complex needs of her fellow citizens from Key West to Key Largo.  She will fight to protect the rights of property owners; continue her advocacy for the enhancement of our fragile ecosystem, including canal restoration projects; and support the responsible expansion of our economy.
