Candidate: John Scott McDonald

My name is Scott McDonald, and I am running for Mayor of Palm Coast in 2024. I am a resident of our city, and I am passionate about making it the best place possible for all of our residents.

I have a proven track record of success in leadership and public service. I am the Owner for Flagler Fungi, a local business that provides gourmet mushrooms to our local farmers markets. 

I am running for Mayor because I believe that we can do more to make Palm Coast a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I want to focus on the following priorities:

• Economic development: I will work to create jobs and attract new businesses to Palm Coast. I will also work to support our existing businesses and to create a more favorable environment for entrepreneurs.
• Education: I will work to ensure that our children have access to a quality education. I will also work to make Palm Coast a more attractive destination for college students and young professionals.
• Public safety: I will work to keep our community safe. I will support our police and fire departments, and I will work to address the root causes of crime.
• Infrastructure: I will work to improve our infrastructure, including our roads, bridges, and parks. I will also work to protect our environment and to ensure that Palm Coast remains a beautiful and livable place for generations to come.
• Technology: I will work to make Palm Coast a leader in technology innovation. I will support the development of new technologies and businesses, and I will work to make Palm Coast a more attractive destination for tech workers and entrepreneurs.

I believe that Palm Coast has a bright future, and I am excited to lead our city into the next decade. I ask for your vote on Election Day, November 5, 2024.

In addition to the above, I would also like to highlight my experience in cybersecurity. I have helped some of the world's largest organizations to secure their environments. I believe that this experience would be invaluable in helping to protect Palm Coast's critical infrastructure and data.

I am also committed to making Palm Coast a leader in technology innovation. I believe that technology has the potential to solve many of the challenges that we face as a city, such as traffic congestion, climate change, and affordable housing. I will work to support the development of new technologies and businesses, and I will work to make Palm Coast a more attractive destination for tech workers and entrepreneurs.

I am running for Mayor because I believe that Palm Coast has the potential to be one of the best places to live in the United States. I have the experience, the skills, and the vision to lead our city into the future. I ask for your vote on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
