Candidate: John Draper

Hello, my name is John Draper

I am a candidate for the Jacksonville City Council from the new District 14 located in the southwest part of the city.

I served as a Jacksonville City Councilman from southwest Jacksonville from 1991 -1995.

I have lived in the Argyle area for 40 years and have been actively involved in the southwest Jacksonville community throughout those years.

I am a former Navy Supply Officer who served at the former NAS Cecil Field and I now own a small business, with my wife Loretta, called Signs N Stuff, Inc.

As a member of the Argyle Area Civic Council, I have advocated for many improvements in community such as road widenings, a traffic light at Highland lakes, new park near SR 23, and the extension of Paramore Rd.

I have also led the many fights against unwanted rezonings in the area.

If elected, I will continue to work hard to represent the people of southwest Jacksonville.
