Jennifer Casey is a third-generation Jacksonville native. A graduate of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, Jennifer earned bachelors' degrees in political science and religious studies before receiving a master's degree in instructional design and technology from the University of Central Florida. She has taught special education for over a decade at Jacksonville schools and her innovative work in education has been featured in national publications and conferences. In 2018, she was elected to the Duval Soil and Water Conservation District board, on which she has prioritized expanding opportunities for new farmers and improving land in Jacksonville’s urban core. She is also a member of the Jacksonville-Duval Agricultural Council and the UF/IFAS Duval Extension Advisory Committee. Jennifer and her husband David have been married for 22 years and are the proud parents of two adult sons, Nolan and Jonah, and a teenage daughter, Li Yun.
