Candidate: Danny Grabill - Moved to 2022 Special Election

Danny Grabill is a native of Altoona, PA where he graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1981 followed by a relocation to Florida in 1986. After three years in Macclenny, FL, he spent 20 years in Tampa Bay where he became a member of Idlewild Baptist Church (IBC), serving as a missionary to Greece in 2008-09, and earned an Associate of Science degree in Digital Graphic Art at Tampa Technical Institute, both in 2002. In 2010, Danny finally relocated to Jacksonville, FL where he began to discover a heartfelt passion for community. Most recently, Danny attended Liberty University from 2016-2020 where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a 3.38 GPA.

Danny joined Westside Baptist Church (WBC) in Jacksonville in 2014 where he serves as a Bible study teacher and an international missionary to Uganda, Africa when “called” to serve. Furthermore, he is a standing member of The Gideons International and a credentialed chaplain with the Florida Baptist Convention in both volunteer and disaster relief ministries, where he championed a disaster relief food distribution at WBC during the initial societal outbreak and shutdown due to COVID-19.

In closing, Danny currently works for the Duval County Public Schools as a paraprofessional at Crystal Springs Elementary where he is also utilized as a Reading Mastery (RMSE) teacher for children who struggle with basic reading skills. He is married to his Proverbs 31 woman, Cheryl, who is employed by Wolfson Children’s Hospital as a Registered Nurse and acts as his primary campaign treasurer. In addition, Danny has one biological son, born in 1981, three adult stepchildren, and a five-year-old granddaughter.
