Candidate: Ja'Shaun Prude

Ja’Shaun Prude is a Blue-collar worker from the west side of Jacksonville and candidate to become a City Council member for District 12. He and his wife has been married for 9 years and have 4 children. The idea for severing his fellow citizens has always been what he wanted to do. In 2008 he joined Robert E. Lee High School's NJROTC program and in his senior year became the Executive Officer of the program. In 2013 he enlisted into the United States Navy Reserves as a Seabee Builder.

In 2016 he was deployed to Kuwait and then to Qatar for an asset’s recovery mission with the Defense Logistics Agency. During this time, he served as the assistant yard manager and helped directly or indirectly recover millions of dollars of taxpayer’s money via scrap removal. He was awarded a joint service achievement medal for his actions.

When at home he volunteers at his local church within the children’s ministry. While currently he is operating the cameras at his family’s church and helps manage their online presence. This time has been humbling for him.

Ja’Shaun’s life has been one of never-ending growth and out of that growth he has developed the will to fight for others even more. The plans that he proposed highlights this. The goal must be met!
