Dear Neighbor,

I was appointed to fill a vacant Commissioner seat in July 2021, and since then I have been working diligently for you, keeping our cities best interest in mind. With the exciting  challenges ahead in Bunnell, I bring fresh ideas and your voices to the table.  Bunnell needs leaders who have demonstrated ability and a positive plan for our future challenges. 

Defining issues and Designing Solutions:

With that in mind, I have stepped up to the plate and have been working on putting together a city wide Parks & Recreation  program for our children, teens and adults. I am hoping to see this program come  to fruition in the next three years.

I attended the Strategic Planning session held in October, where I shared my ideas for improvements in regards to infrastructure, housing & traffic elements, future land use, private property rights, conservation, and  recreation.  I would love to see a revitalized downtown area, urban development, a designated historic district, more parks, and city wide recreation programs for our citizens.

My Focus as Commissioner:

• Working to protect and secure Bunnell’s future by  ensuring we have the infrastructure needed for the challenges of growth ahead.
• Listening to residents and provide opportunity for  community dialogue at my monthly  “Coffee with the Commish” get together.
• My decisions are based on your needs. I can assure you that my voting record will continue to reflect my dedication to representing you. I have voted to ensure that city resources are properly utilized, and taxpayer dollars are not wasted.
• Bunnell residents deserve a water system that works properly, a sufficiently funded police force, controlled growth, safe neighborhoods, affordable housing, and a strong school system.
• You and I deserve a city we can be proud of.  We need a city that is moving forward and ready to face the challenges to come. We need leaders who listen and work towards solutions with positive forward motion and building a better future for us all.

I kindly ask for your vote this March 8th, so that I can continue to work for you and our hometown.

Professional & Personal Background:

My 40+ years of business management, participation on city commissions both in Idaho and here in Bunnell and my volunteer experiences make me an excellent choice for Commissioner.  I have extensive experience in developing and managing multi-million-dollar budgets, personnel management, and city processes.  I have the knowledge of how the city commission runs and that a commissioner’s responsibility is to set policy.

My degree in Six Sigma has afforded me the knowledge base to work on any City processes or programs that come before the board for review. Process Capability,  Inferential Statistics, Hypothesis Testing, Simple Linear & Multiple Regression Analysis, Designed Experiments, Project Definition, Details and Scope, among other  processes.

I am married to the love of my life John.  We have three adult children; two beautiful daughters  and our son (who resides in Heaven).  We have one adult grandaughter and we have three fur babies.
