Candidate's Statement

County Court Judge, Group 1

Isaac Daniel East

Isaac Daniel East began his lifelong commitment to public service in the United States Navy in 1993, serving eight years.  He continued as a Probation Officer in 2004.  Subsequently, he served as an Assistant Public Defender for two years, where he represented the poor, the mentally ill and children of our community.   Isaac provided stellar legal representation to individuals within the community who have been charged with criminal offenses which requires interviewing clients, developing trial strategy, and litigating cases. 

Isaac understands and practices being neutral and impartial by serving the citizens through his arbitration and mediation practice throughout the state of Florida and is based out of the city of Jacksonville.  Isaac is certified as a Circuit Civil Mediator by the Florida Supreme Court as well as a Florida Supreme Court qualified Arbitrator.  His service as a litigator spans seven years beginning in 2013 with the Office of Public Defender.  Additionally, Isaac has served as a Local Probation Officer with Chesapeake Community Corrections in Chesapeake, Virginia, an Assistant Public Defender with the Office of Public Defender in Daytona Beach, Florida, an Associate Attorney with the Law Offices of Ron Sholes, PA in Jacksonville, an Associate Attorney with Farah and Farah, PA in Jacksonville and an Attorney/Owner of East Law of Florida, LLC. 

Isaac has called Florida home since 2007.  He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University College of Law in 2011.  He is also an Alumnus of Virginia Wesleyan University with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. Isaac is licensed to practice in all Florida state courts.

Now a disabled military veteran, during active duty in the Navy, Isaac served at the Command Fleet Training Group in Guantanamo Bay Cuba, USS Mount Whitney at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia and Military Sealift Command at Camp Pendleton in Virginia Beach, Virginia. 

Isaac is a father of two sons, an active member with the Disabled American Veterans, and several community service organizations, furthering his personal lifelong commitment to family and public service.
