Recognizing the importance of having safety in our schools and in our City, Jacobs decided to go back to college and obtain his Bachelors Degree in Public Safety Management.

Jacobs also received the EMT and First Responder Certificates to become knowledgeable about Community Safety and be equipped to assist with Public Safety Solutions for our schools, students, parents, faculty and staff.

Jacobs has been with Duval County Public Schools since 2001. He is committed to making a difference in students’ lives.

He stands for school safety, against arming teachers while working to support them, will address truancy issues, swimming pool safety condition issues, will strategically focus on solutions to provide the best education for every student by meeting the needs of every child. Jacobs will help every teacher, every student and every parent in District 3 by being a consistent presence in all schools in District 3.

More special needs after school programs

Increasing part-time after school athletic coaches’ stipends

Advocating for more support for PTSA/SAC

Bringing back the individual 7th & 8th grade sports teams

Advocating for students with mental illness along with increasing educational training/suicide awareness in schools
