Candidate: Walter P Drabinski

Walt holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and a MBA from the Wharton School. He began his career with a large utility as an Operations Project Engineer and worked on the design, construction and startup of a 2,000 MW power plant. He then became Electrical Maintenance Supervisor and Director of Training for the utility. In 1984 he joined an international management consulting firm that focused on utility issues, started his own firm in 1992, and has worked on over 150 major projects with electric utilities throughout North America. He specializes in utility operations, finance, strategy and reliability. During his 19 years in the Keys, he has been a member of the Florida Keys Sanctuary Advisory Council, the MOTE Marine Advisory Board, and has been an activist on many County issues such as sewer design and most recently burning of hurricane waste.
