Candidate's Statement

Gary Israel and his wife, Ann Marie have been proud residents of the Village of Estero for 17 years, residing in Stoneybrook. Gary is originally from Ohio and earned his BA from Ohio Northern University. He has been a Lee County resident since Dec. 1996.

Gary enjoyed a 15-year musical career which has lead to him becoming a regional favorite to perform our National Anthem. He also earned a successful 22 year career in cemetery/funeral sales (Toledo, California and Florida)

At age 49 Gary made a major career change and spent 10 years (2000-2010) as a Retail Advertising Executive for The News-Press, Bonita Springs.

In September 2010 Gary helped to launch Estero Lifestyle Magazine, acquiring the publication and re-naming it Estero Life, and serves as President and Publisher.
