Candidate: Ty Schlichter

Ty, a Christian conservative, has a long history with the city of Ocala, going back nearly 20 years. Schlichter is a graduate of Forest High School and holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. Ty is Vice President and Partner at Central Florida Electric in Ocala. He is also a family man with a loving wife and 4 rambunctious daughters.

Being a small business owner in Ocala and working day-to-day in commercial and residential development, Ty provides unmatched professional experience regarding development and growth.  With 1,000 people moving to Florida every day Ty’s understanding of managed growth will allow the Ocala economy to prosper while preserving the southern landscapes and lifestyle that define Ocala.

Support of Ocala’s First Responders

Ty  is focused on supporting the Ocala Police Department and Ocala Fire Rescue.

Ty has a passion for improving Ocala.  These efforts include adding parks, cleaning up abandoned buildings and keeping Ocala clean and safe.  “I plan to leave this city better than when I found it.”
