Candidate: David Paukovich

My name is David Paukovich and I am running as a candidate for Seat #4 on the Grand Haven CDD Board.

My wife Patti and I are both from Virginia and finished building our home in the Wild Oaks section of Grand Haven in 2014 where we have lived full time since May 2016.  I worked as an Air Traffic Controller in the Washington D.C. area, and retired after 32 years of service in 2011.

We were drawn to Palm Coast and Grand Haven because of the abundance of amenities, social activities available to the residents, and appreciate our tree-lined streets with their green canopies and well-maintained homes.  The same features have drawn others I have met to this community and have set us apart from other communities in the area with more expensive costs.

My desire to run for the Grand Haven CDD is to ensure that our current amenities and infrastructure are maintained and enhanced as needed not only to preserve their usefulness but also add value for the residents of Grand Haven.  Improvements at times come with a cost, but I plan to be very proactive and vigilant in how these costs are managed.  For I know that what may affect others has an impact on myself as well.

As an Air Traffic Controller, I was able to hone my skills when it comes to attention to detail and be very task oriented.  However, even though I am task oriented, I thoughtfully listen to the opinions of others and consider all options before making my decisions.
