Candidate: Alicia Washington

I am a Wife, Mother, Veteran, Attorney and Citizen.  I am one of you, and  I have lived and worked in our community for the past 22 years, in Flagler specifically for the last 13 years.  My legal career has been dedicated to understanding all sides of any given issue.  I have worked both as an assistant public defender and assistant state attorney.  I have worked both as an insurance defense attorney and a personal injury attorney.  I have represented parents in dependency actions and now represent abused, abandoned and neglected children as a guardian ad litem attorney.  I have represented both husbands and wives in family law cases trying to help good people as they go through bad times.  Over time wisdom comes from these experiences.  I realize how legal decisions impact every day people like you and I.  I will use what I have learned over the past 22 years to honorably and faithfully serve our citizens. Our community will benefit from having a judge committed to upholding the law and maintaining law and order. .  

Aside from the practice of law, I have faithully served in our community in many other capacities. I have previously served as a member of Kiwanis Daytona Beach, and served on the Boards of the Volusia County Bar Association and the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce.  I am currently a member of Tiger Bay Club Flagler County; a Board Member of Remembering Vets, Inc., and President of the Flagler County Bar Association.  I also volunteer regularly through Flagler Volunteer Services.
