I grew up in Ormond Beach and attended Florida State University and the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. After law school, I returned home to join a general practice law firm. It has been my privilege to represent individuals, families, and small businesses in the 7th Circuit and throughout Florida for the last 29 years. I have been a Florida Certified Civil Mediator for 13 years and a Florida Certified Appellate Mediator for 5 years.
I have worked tirelessly for my clients and for the betterment of my community. I am active in my church, a weekly volunteer at a food pantry, active with my Rotary and with Habitat for Humanity. I am ready to apply a comprehenisve analysis to the complex problems of a busy trial docket. I have learned the fundamentals and am prepared to immediately utliize my experience, as an attorney and as a mediator, as a circuit judge.
The combination of legal and mediation experience makes me uniquely suited to the circuit court. Being a mediator has sharpened my legal skils and enhanced my listening skills.I pledge to be a judge that impartially applies exisiting law to the matter and renders a decision on the legal merits, a decision based on the rule of law, not popular sentiment or politicial expediency. A judge who treats each participant in the courtroom with respect, civility, and thoughtfulness.
