Timi graduated from Cumberland College, a small Christian College in Williamsburg, Kentucky in 1989.  In 1992, she earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky College.

Timi worked as a staff attorney for the Chief Judge of the Kentucky Court of Appeals, where she reviewed briefs and wrote Orders. She then went to work as a Trust Officer at SunTrust Bank managing and investing funds of individuals and foundations.

In 1998, Timi returned home and joined the Public Defender’s Office in Brevard County representing indigent people accused of crimes.  She tried over twenty-five cases before juries and managed hundreds of cases from initial appearance through resolution.

Timi then worked as a Senior Attorney at the Department of Children and Families where she fought to protect Florida’s most vulnerable children from abuse, abandonment, and neglect. She prosecuted the most serious cases and worked directly with the Children’s Advocacy Center.

In 2004, Timi started a private law practice in Brevard County with a concentration in family law. She is an AV preeminent rated, platinum client champion attorney.

Timi serves Brevard County personally through her church by helping people without access to housing and food, cleaning up our beaches, and volunteering.

In 2000, Timi won the Young Lawyer Professionalism Award. In 2011, she was elected as President of the Brevard County Bar Association.  Prior to serving as President of the BCBA, she was President of the Brevard County Bar, Young Lawyers Division.  She was also elected Mentor of the Year of the Vassar B. Carlton American Inn of Court in 2014.  She later served on the Boards of Make-A-Wish, Florida Institute of Technology Prelaw Advisory Board, and Brevard County Legal Aid.

As a Judge, Timi will bring her trial expertise and trustworthy leadership to deliver justice. She will give thoughtful and fair consideration to the parties and issues before her and always follow the law.
