Candidate: Omega Allen

A native of Jacksonville and a graduate of William M. Raines, Dr. Omega Allen was influenced and molded by the academic and social elite as well as the working class of the African American Community who expected her to achieve, excel, and lead.  Omega holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration with a focus on Participatory Municipal Government from Northcentral University, an MBA and BS in Business Management from Jacksonville University where she graduated Cum Laude.   Her academic achievement is a testament to her intellect.  As a General Contractor, she is grounded and in touch with the Jacksonville Community.

As a young adult, Omega served as Business Training Coordinator for a Youth Ex-Offender Program with the Jacksonville Urban League.  In recent years she served as Chair of the Northwest Jacksonville Economic Development Trust Fund Advisory Committee and Program Manager of the City’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program where she leveled the playing field for small and minority construction businesses to participate.  Her participation in community development is a testament to her commitment to the city she loves.
