Candidate's Statement

Liza is proud to be a Lee County native with Cuban/American roots and is where she chose to raise her two amazing children. She began her career in the Lee County Clerk of the Circuit Court's office and is where she discovered her passion in public service. 

Liza is an Edison and Florida Gulf Coast University graduate. She brings over 28 years of serving our criminal justice system with 18 years of proven leadership capacity. Liza currently serves as the Chief Deputy Court Administrator. A trusted leader and someone who has dedicated their life in service to our community. 

She was appointed to the Lee County Charter Review Commission as well as the Florida Gulf Coast University, Department of Justice Studies Advisory Board. Liza also served on the board of the inaugural Hispanic Heritage Festival and 5K event. She currently serves on a United Way fund distribution review team and is on the board of the Multicultural Centre of SWFL-Big Backpack event.

Liza is currently Vice President of the Lee County Republican Women of Cape Coral Club and a member of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly of Florida. Liza is an active member of Step of Faith Ministries.
