Candidate: Gene Morgan

A 5th generation Gadsden County native, Commissioner Gene Morgan has served the citizens of Gadsden County for 12 years as a County Commissioner and served two terms as Vice-Chairman of the Board.

Commissioner Morgan also served three terms on the Chattahoochee, Florida City Council and presided as Mayor of Chattahoochee in 2007. He is a graduate of both the Certified County Commissioner and Advanced County Commissioner educational programs offered through the Florida Association of Counties and has served on the Board of Directors of the Small County Coalition. He graduated from Robert F. Munroe School and earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from LaGrange College.

Commissioner Morgan's role as a County Commissioner is centered on strong leadership and responsible policies that enable a more efficient and responsive local government. Commissioner Morgan is a member of multiple community organizations that serve Gadsden County:

• Talquin Electric Cooperative

• The Gadsden Arts Center

• The Lake Seminole Association

• Envision Credit Union Board of Directors

  Commissioner Morgan is a member of Chattahoochee First United Methodist Church. He and his wife of 32 years, Marguerite Morgan, have one son, Fletcher.
