Candidate: Elizabeth Haffner

Hi my name is Elizabeth Haffner and I am running for Freeport City Council, Seat 5. I have been married to my husband Joe for almost 6 years and we have 2 children. We moved to Walton County 5 years ago because my husband, who is from Southeast Alabama, wanted to be closer to his family. After looking at many communities in this area we chose Freeport 3 years ago, because it is a small town with a big heart.
I graduated from Houston Baptist University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources. I have worked in HR for 13 years, I am currently a Recruiter for a firm based in Chicago and work virtually.
My background in business will be a benefit to the city and the community.
My experience is vast with policy, procedure, and understanding the budget process. I created and taught trainings on how to handle HR related concerns in previous positions.
I have been involved with the city council meetings for almost a year now.
I will work hard for the city of Freeport citizens.
I am very active in my local church.
