I am running for the Sumter County Republican State Committeeman position to serve the County as one of three county representatives to the Republican Party of Florida. I support the conservative principles of the Sumter County Republican Party and its voters. The role of the Republican Party of Florida is to promote the principles upon which our nation and our state were founded: freedom, liberty, personal responsibility, and accountability. I know and understand the issues facing the Republican Party of Florida and am well acquainted with many of the other 67 county representatives and staff. Together, we will continue to focus on our conservative values, grow our party membership, and keep Florida RED!!!

●       Born and raised in the Beautiful State of Alabama

●       Oldest of six brothers and sisters

●       Father was a World War II Veteran

●       Met my wife in Washington, D.C., and have been married for 17 years

●       We have three children and five grandchildren

●       I have lived in The Villages for the past 14 years

 ●       21 years in the United States Army

●        25 Years in the Intelligent and Security Field as a Government civilian

●       Treasurer for four (4) years of Veteran’s Group

●       Appointed by the Sumter County Commission to the Community Advisory Committee for Lake-Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)

●       Served as Chairman of the Community Advisory Committee for Lake-Sumter MPO

●       Member of the Sophisticated Gents of Florida

●       Mediator of the 5th Judicial Circuit

●       Joined Republican Clubs in The Villages in 2014

●       Active member of the Republican Club of Sumter Landing

●       After two clubs merged in 2015, joined The Villages Republican Club

         o   Served as Communication Director, Program Director, Vice President, and President

●       Currently serving as the Program Director for the Republican Club of The Villages, Florida

●       Member of the Sumter County Republican Executive Committee since 2014

         o   Served on the Executive Board, Lincoln Day Dinner Committee, Lincoln Day Dinner         Advisory Group, Elections Committee, Local Legislative Watch Committee, Constitution, By-Laws and Policy Committee, and the Vote Recount Committee in 2018

●       Currently serving as Vice Chairman of the Sumter County Republican Executive Committee (2020 to present)

●       Worked on various Republican campaigns, including President Donald J. Trump,  Governor Rick Scott, Senator Marco Rubio, Congressman Daniel Webster, Senator Rick Scott, Governor Ron DeSantis, State Senator Dennis Baxley, State Senator Blaise Ingolia, State Representative Brett, Hage, State Representative John Temple, and numerous Sumter County Constitutional Officers, Sumter County Commissioners, and local officials

                REPUBLICAN PARTY OF FLORIDA CONNECTION

●       Have attended Republican Party of Florida meetings since 2016.

●       Know and am friends with many of the 67 county State Committee members, including State Committeemen, Committeewomen, and County Chairmen.

●       Know and have worked with the Republican Party of Florida Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and staff, both past and present.
