Candidate: Victoria "Tori" Summerlin

I’d like to introduce myself for those of you that don’t know me well. I am a lifelong Sumter County resident and I feel fortunate to have called Bushnell my home for the past 10 years. 

I am employed by the Sumter County Property Appraisers Office where I am the Commercial Manager. Over the past 10 years of employment I have learned a great deal about intergovernmental relations, responsible growth and development, and fiscal responsibility.

I am an active member of my church. I have served in various leadership roles including Trustee, Children’s Leader, Finance Team member and as a Strategic Planner. 

I am involved in community outreach and enjoy any opportunity I have to serve.

The knowledge I have gained from being a lifelong resident, the experience I have in leadership, and my involvement and familiarity with the residents will be an asset to the council as I am able to offer a deeper understanding of the needs and desires of the people here.  

These are the driving forces behind my desire to serve as part of Bushnell City Council. 

I have a lot of pride in my city and support the positive direction that the city is headed. As we continue to move forward, it is important to me that we hold onto the small town charm and values that I, and everyone here, so deeply loves. I will work to implement the strategic plan that has been adopted and work with the staff to ensure we continue to meet our community’s needs.

I will serve with strong conservative leadership and bring fresh perspective to the council. I will not back down from the things that I believe in and for the things that are important to the residents here.
