Candidate: Andrew Serrano

I was born in Jacksonville, Florida and grew up in Puerto Rico. I've been married for over 25 years to my beautiful wife Carmen and have two amazing daughter's. Kaylee is attending University of South Florida and Karina is at NYU Dental School.

I attended State University of New York at Farmingdale, NY where I studied Pre Engineering. I worked at the New York City Department of Buildngs as a Data Entry Supervisor for six years and also worked at ARC Marion as a Group home manager for seven years.

I'm currently working at the Marion County Property Appraiser’s office reviewing and analyzing problem deeds and working on GIS splitting, combining parcels and plotting new subdivisions. Before that, I spent more than 20 years as a county employee in several departments, including Planning and Zoning and the Tax Collector’s office.

I have always known I wanted to run for an office in this beautiful county I call home.  However, I wasn't sure where until God opened the door for me at the Property Appraiser's Office.  I really enjoy serving the community and based on my thirty years experience working with the government, I feel confident I can do an excellent job. 

I look forward to adding to the great services the Property Appraiser's Office has offered throughout the years and making a difference serving my community.
