Candidate: Ricky Dallas Jones

I want to introduce myself to you. My name is Ricky Jones. I am a dedicated family man and community leader, hailing from Eastpoint, where my family has long been entrenched in the seafood industry, owning both an Oyster House and a retail market. I embarked on my journey with Elizabeth by my side, marrying her while we attended Holmes Bible College in Greenville, SC.
As an ordained Bishop of the Church of God Cleveland, TN, my spiritual guidance is a cornerstone of my life. I extend this guidance to my involvement in the Redemption Point Church of God, where I am honored to serve as a minister and on the Pastor's Council under the mentorship of Pastor Larry Sterling.
Balancing my spiritual calling with a thriving career, I have excelled as the manager of Carquest Auto Parts in Eastpoint since 2007. My commitment to community extends beyond the church and workplace. I have volunteered extensively, coaching baseball and basketball teams and serving as an Assistant Coach for the Franklin County Boy's Basketball program.
My unwavering commitment to public service is a testament to my dedication to our community. It began with my appointment by Governor Rick Scott to the Eastpoint Water & Sewer District in 2015, a role I continue to serve with honor as Vice-Chair, reappointed by Governor Ron DeSantis. In 2016, I was elected Franklin County Commissioner for District 1, and I am currently seeking a third term, having been reelected in 2020.
I have demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout my tenure, serving as Chairman of the Commission for the past four years. My commitment to tourism development led to my appointment as Chair of the Franklin County Tourist Development Council in 2018. Additionally, my regional influence extends to the position of Chair of the Apalachee Regional Planning Council.
On the state level, I am a staunch advocate for small counties, serving as Region 1 Representative on the Board of Directors of the Small County Coalition since 2020. My contributions to the Florida Association of Counties, from 2018 to the present, showcase my dedication to legislative policy committees such as Agriculture & Rural Affairs, Water & Environmental Sustainability, Finance, Tax & Administration, and the President's Select Committee on Preemption.
I strive to embody the values of leadership, service, and community, driving positive change for Franklin County and beyond.
