My name is Anthony Croom Jr., and I am deeply honored to introduce myself as your current Franklin County Commissioner District 3 and a candidate. As a fifth-generation native, my roots in this community run deep, and my commitment to making Franklin County the safest and most thriving place to live is unwavering.

Family is at the heart of everything I do. I am fortunate to be married to my wife Adrienne, and together, we raise our three daughters Thea, Camilla, and Lennix, in the same community that has shaped my values and aspirations. Beyond my professional responsibilities, I have dedicated significant time to community service, to include some but not limited to the Apalachicola Volunteer Fire Department, the Florida Seafood Festival Board of Directors, Ramp it Up wheelchair assistance, Cops for Kids, Christmas Connections of Franklin County, School Advisory of Franklin and Gulf Counties, and various other organizations. My involvement with these organizations reflects my deep-seated belief in giving back and improving the lives of those around me.

My journey in public service began in 2006, embarking on a career in law enforcement that has spanned various roles and achievements. My tenure at the Apalachicola Police Department included serving as the agency training officer and attaining the rank of Sergeant, before I accepted a position with the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco Bureau of Law Enforcement as a Special Agent. Over nearly eight years, I conducted extensive covert and complex investigations across seven counties and spanned from Pensacola to Jacksonville. I was recognized for distinguished service and with the Medal of Valor for my courageous actions.

My career path then led me to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, where I served as Lieutenant, and eventually to the Franklin County School District as the top safety official where I currently oversee safety initiatives and prioritized the safety of our children, which is the future of our county. Throughout my career, I have been privileged to receive awards and commendations for my service from former Governor Charlie Crist, the House of Representatives, and federal agencies, recognizing my dedication to public safety and community welfare.

Taking on the role of County Commissioner was a natural progression in my commitment to serve Franklin County. Since stepping into this position, I have worked tirelessly to advocate for our community's interests. In my first month alone, I engaged with state representatives in Tallahassee to ensure Franklin County receives its due share of resources and support. Moving forward, I am dedicated to several critical priorities that are crucial for our community's prosperity and well-being.

Critical Priorities:

🌿 Protect and Reopen Apalachicola Bay
I am committed to safeguarding and revitalizing our beloved Apalachicola Bay, ensuring it remains a vibrant and thriving natural resource for generations to come.

🏡 Enhance Community Safety
My top priority is to keep our community safe by investing in initiatives designed to strengthen safety measures and improve overall quality of life for all residents.

🛣️ Upgrade Our Roads
Better roads mean better connections. I am focused on upgrading our infrastructure to support smoother and safer travel throughout our county.

🏥 Modernize Our Hospital
I am dedicated to enhancing our hospital facilities to provide top-notch healthcare services, ensuring that our community receives the best care possible.

👷 Support County Workers and Recruit Top Talent
Our county employees are the backbone of our community. I am committed to supporting them and attracting qualified personnel to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Your support is crucial in making these initiatives a reality. Together, we can build a stronger, safer, and more prosperous community and Keep Franklin County Moving Forward.

Retention and recruitment of qualified staff across all sectors are paramount to our continued growth and success. As your County Commissioner, I am committed to fostering an environment where dedicated professionals can thrive and contribute to Franklin County’s vibrant future.

These initiatives represent just a fraction of my comprehensive vision for our county. I am eager to build upon our achievements and address challenges head-on with your support. Your vote is crucial in ensuring that we continue to make meaningful progress together.

Please vote to "Keep Croom" on November 5th so we can Keep Franklin County Moving Forward!

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Anthony Croom, Jr.
