Candidate's Statement

HIT A HOME RUN ! VOTE DANIEL MYSLAKOWSKI YOUR COUNTY COMMISSIONER DIST. 5 - VOTE AUGUST 23, 2022!

GLORY TO UKRAINE AND THE USA!

INFLATION WATCH - FOOD PRICES SHOT UP 13% IN MARCH!, JUNE CPI = 9.1%!!!

JULY INFLATION UP 8.5%!!!

OUCH - MY GROCERY BAG JUST GOT A WHOLE LOT LIGHTER, ALONG WITH MY GAS TANK AND WALLET!!!

My Latino Softball Brothers call me “POLACO LOCO”, a name I PROUDLY wear!

Mission Statement:

I am running  to be your County Commissioner to represent ALL Citizens in North and South Sumter County, the Sumter County taxpayers! To bring real reform, real change to the current Sumter County Government’s “Taxation without Representation” policies! As your elected County Commissioner, My agenda is to do what is in the best interests of the people of Sumter County who elected me to be their voice! I will carefully listen to all points of an issue before the Board, and vigorously debate the points that are not in the best interests of the people of Sumter County! As a Fiscal Conservative Republican I will always rank the issues from most important to least important with an eye on keeping a balanced budget and a goal of reducing your taxes not raising them! My wife Dee and I love living in The Villages but in this year of 8.5% INFLATION ALL elected commissioners need to keep taxes low, and live within our budget! I can work with the Developer not for the Developer!

Our Constitution states that our Sumter County Commissioners are elected to be our voice, to represent “We the People” in our local Government and that is what I pledge/swear I will do, so help me God!

I will always be accessible to listen to the people, to serve with honor, and integrity to work hard to bring, and implement solutions to best serve the people of Sumter County!

(DISCLAIMER - AS YOUR COUNTY COMMISSIONER, I AM ONLY ON THE SUMTER COUNTY TAXPAYER'S PAYROLL)!

I STRONGLY SUPPORT OUR POLICE, AND WILL VOTE TO FUND THEM!

I STRONGLY SUPPORT OUR KIDS LEARNING MATH, AND SCIENCE NOT CRT!

Specific agenda items I would address as your elected County Commissioner:

1.       Keep taxes LOW while maintaining quality, high-level Sumter County services! Maximize Taxpayer Dollars!

2.       Strive to improve roadways and bridges for the entire Sumter County!

3.       Fund the Sumter Sheriff Department not “Defund” them so they can continue to fight crime to best protect, and serve ALL Sumter County Residents!

4.       Work to improve countywide continuity of services offered to the public like County Health Department COVID vaccinations, COVID prevention programs, ground water monitoring.

5.       Work to balance Sumter County growth with infrastructure, natural resources, and local wild-life!

6.       Work with the Sumter County “NO BUILD” group to work out a compromise to the proposed Turnpike expansion! I support a "No Build" County resolution because of it's detrimental effects! In contrast, I favor the expansion of I-75 as there always seems to be a 30 minute delay between I-75 exit 329 (Wildwood) to exit 350 (Ocala).

7.  Work to find a solution on the North of CR 466 Morse Blvd. golf cart path merging into Morse Blvd. which is a clear Health & Safety issue that needs to be resolved to save lives and  unnecessary injuries.
