Candidate: TARUAS ANTHONY PUGH

Dear Friends & Neighbors of Lee County: 

I am no stranger to the community as I was born and raised in the City of Fort Myers. I attended Lee County Public Schools and graduated in 2000 from Riverdale High School. I continued my education and graduated from Southwest Florida College with a degree in Information Technology Management. Now Currently working on my Bachelor in Administration. 

I have managed business progress and development, budget management, and established grounds for others to grow. I would enjoy the opportunity to utilize my experience and knowledge to help improve and direct the Lee County Mosquito / Hyacinth District to be one that could be a model for others in the State of Florida. This summer’s rain fall for example has created a challenge for the Lee County Mosquito Control. With the large amount of rainfall the low lying areas became flooded and with continuous rainfall for weeks. The ground became saturated and water will sit for days without draining off creating breeding beds for mosquito’s for weeks. That's why my platform is simple: 

Build a Stronger, Smarter and a Collaborative approach for protecting our Waterways and Mosquito Elimination.
