I have talked with many people who tell me they have lost faith in their county government and certain of their elected officials. They feel disenfranchised. They don't know what to do to change what is happening in our local government. Like them, I was waiting and hoping for someone to step up; someone with character; someone you knew and could trust to do what is right. I finally came to the realization that someone is me. Now, more than ever, we need someone with integrity to ensure our election process is run fairly and cleanly. The office of Supervisor of Elections is critical to the operation of our democracy. The ideals we, as Americans, hold most dear are our freedom and our right to vote to protect that freedom. I hope you will trust me and my integrity to work to ensure our democratic process, our vote, works for all of us.
I have been a practicing attorney in Pensacola for 30+ years. I recently closed my practice to pursue a different direction in life. During my career as an attorney I have been an Assistant State Attorney, taught law at Pensacola State College, was a Traffic Court Hearing Officer in both Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, was a Florida Bar Board Certified Family Law attorney, meaning I was recognized as an expert in my field of practice. I have an attorney peer review rating of "Highest Ethicial Standards". I have been a member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee for Escambia county and have represented thousands of client's rights as a Family Law attorney. I have tried hundreds of trials, hearings, motions and depositions. I know and understand the law.
