Candidate: Joshua Matthew Luther

I am running for the office of School Board Member because Jesus Christ is the King of kings.

Jesus, as creator of all things “that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers”, is Lord over ALL. The Escambia County School Board belongs to Jesus, and every member has the duty to represent Him in the exercise of the powers that He gave them.

This is not about my religion or my truth. This is about the Truth of the Almighty God, the Creator of the heavens and earth. And contrary to popular belief, when you acknowledge the Truth, you are not in any way obligated to acknowledge what everyone else claims to be true.

Our school system is in the mess that it is because it has no ultimate and true standard of right and wrong, and we think that we don’t need one! Many of the children are suffering because of broken families, and we are perpetuating the problem by teaching them lies instead of equipping them with the Creators’s instructions for husband-wife and parent-child relationships.

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn rightly urged his fellow countrymen to live not by lies. He called them to “not write, sign, nor publish in any way, a single line distorting, so far as he can see, the truth[. To] not utter such a line in private or in public conversation, nor read it from a crib sheet, nor speak it in the role of educator, canvasser, teacher, actor”.

Furthermore, the Word of God repeatedly tells us to walk in the light, and promises that “if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.”   But we have not listened to the voice of wisdom or the Word of God. Instead, we live by lies and embrace lawlessness.

We encourage children to rebel against the gender God made them. We argue that children need to have sexually perverse books to read. We teach children that they’re evolved animals with no accountability to the Creator, and then we are upset when they live out this lie by following their heart into every manner of evil.

Either “the fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge” or it isn’t. If we believe that Christ is the only Lord and Savior, then we have the duty to live it. Let us not live by lies, but rather let us walk in the light of the Almighty God and Creator.

If elected as School Board Member, I will strive to represent our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the voters of District 5, and the people of Escambia County.
